Message From Your Host

 

Since the very first day I took a flight, I was hooked on travel and discovery. I love meeting new people and experiencing life to its fullest. I am a surviver of the New York City World Trade Center Terrorist attacks. Needless to say, I have been extremely fortunate in my life to survive that event and be healthy, have outstanding friends, opportunities and travel possibilities.

 

I started the concept of Pied-A-Terre because I felt that even hostels today were too commercialized. I felt there could be an overwhelming need for people to experience travel in a whole new way. My concept is simple, I want to help you experience  the city as a local and not a tourist.

The was a popular concept in yesteryears but then “BIG Business” and greed destroyed and took away the personalized, warmth and cozy atmosphere of grassroot hostelling and begun treating people like HOTEL guest.

 

Pied-a-terre is my attempt to bring back warmth, love and that cozy feeling of your home away from home, filled with camaraderie, joyful and meaningful moments, significant enriching events and the true hostelling spirit.
